Roman Tresminas - Museum Complex

The challenge of municipality of Vila de Aguiar was fully matched by the multi-disciplinary and multi-national Passado Vivo team - rebuild two grinding roman mills used in the centuries I and II d. C in the mining region of Tresminas, at the High Roman Empire.

These two devices were studie, structured and mounted involved a dedicated and valuable team that made a unique project of its kind in all Europe.

 

Due to the scarcity of water resources in the Region able to move the devices they were adapted to muscle strength - as human or animal - for the full work operation.

The Exibithion Complex of Tresminas can be visited in full operation, from July of this year.
